My idea with this project is to simulate part of that experience for you to enjoy at home,
your
office,
or whereever else you might be.
If you'd be curious to learn more about me and the stuff that I do–or simply wanna say hi, or
provide
some kind of feedback–feel free to visit
my website. You can also reach me at hello@forestbath.online.
Enjoy, and
have a good one!
/Felix
A: It's a kind of virtual forest. This website simulates the sound environment one may experience in the forest.
A: Once closing this dialog, you'll find the sound toggle button in the top right corner of your screen. Click (or tap) it to turn the sound on and off.
A: Once the sound toggle button is set to 'on', you can drag the handles on the volume sliders to change the volume of the different sound elements.
A: Make sure your phone or tablet is not set to 'silent mode'. The sound won't play if it is.
A: If other sound sources play correctly from your computer, it could be that your current web browser tab is muted. If you right-click on it, you can mute and unmute it from there.
A: I've collected different field recordings from freesound; edited them to fit well together; as well as stripped them of unwanted noise (thanks Ville for your help). Credit goes out to the following freesound users, for their excellent field recordings:
A: There's no tracking of personal data. I have however implemented GoatCounter on this website in order for me to better understand where its visitors are coming from, as well as which type of device they're using. This information is helpful to me because I'm trying to design this website in a way that makes it accessible to everyone. Since there's no personal data being collected, I've decided not to include a GDPR consent notice when entering this website.
A: You can reach me at hello@forestbath.online. I'd be happy to hear from you!
